"Plea Deal For McCormack Opposed"

Priest Faces Charges Of Molesting Boys

CHICAGO -- A Chicago priest accused of molestation will return to
court Tuesday and sources have said he may strike a plea deal.

The Coalition of Concerned Catholics planned to hold a demonstration
at the courthouse at 26th Street and California Avenue to protest the
possibility of an agreement for the Rev. Daniel McCormack. They say a
plea agreement could preclude further release of information in
his case.

McCormack is accused of abusing five boys at a West Side church and
school.
